My FitBit arrived yesterday after only ordering it on Sunday. Impressive shipping! First let me say I know you don't NEED gadgets like this. As I mentioned in my last blog post, I'm a tech geek who loves electronics. My good friend's Michelle and Jeff each have one so I decided I wanted to get one too. So far I'm loving it. :) I love how discreet it is. I can clip it to my yoga pants, jacket, bra or jeans and no one can even tell I'm wearing it. I can check how many steps I've taken with the push of a button. It gives you a cute little flower that grows with the more steps you take. It's just a really cute little device.
The online interface is great because it connects directly with MyFitnessPal and will upload your activity (steps taken) and deduct the calorie burn from your daily totals. I think this little tool is going to be a lot of fun this summer. I'm anxious to take it to Disney World this year to see how many steps we take in a day. :)
The synchornization between the device and the online diary is simply. After initial setup all you need to do is be within 15 metres of the wireless hub and your data will automatically upload using bluetooth technology. Slick and fast! I love it :) No fumbling with cables or clicking a ton of buttons.
Anyhow that's the scoop so far. I'm still new and learning how to use it. I will post more later. :) If you decide to get one, leave me a comment and we can add each other as friends!
