Roy had a good weekend - no episodes Saturday or Sunday. We made it through the work day on Friday and decided to get some groceries at Sobeys after we picked Jonathan up from daycare. We were walking through Sobeys and I noticed Roy was gripping the shopping cart tight and trying really hard to focus. I could tell an episode was coming so we rushed back home and Roy went to bed for the remainder of the night. I was worried it would be a rough weekend for him but thankfully it wasn't. On the plus side?? Roy is saying that the dizziness isn't the same as it's been in the past. He can't really describe it but it's a feeling of being dizzy but the room doesn't violently spin. Usually he compares the vertigo attacks as feeling like someone tied him to the end of a rope and is just swinging him violently around the room. His head still feels dizzy and his stomach is still upset, but the room doesn't spin. Perhaps this is progress? We have an appointment for the 4th injection tomorrow afternoon at 1 so I'm looking forward to hearing what Dr. Campos has to say.
The neurologist appointment is this upcoming Thursday in Moncton at 1pm. My Dad has agreed to come with us as we'll need his help with watching the kids during the appointment. Thank you Dad! If the vertigo spells are being caused by Migraine Associated Vertigo then the treatment plan will change. I'm hoping the neurologist will have his own set of tests that he'll do. The more expert opinions the better as far as I'm concerned. I will say that I'm extremely pleased with how kind Dr. Campos has been to us though. He met with us on his vacation day and he's only back from vacation tomorrow and seeing us again. I know he really wants to help Roy so I'm hopeful that with his help, and Dr. Harper's help in Moncton that we'll be on the right path soon. Who knows, perhaps we already are?
I'll keep everyone posted on how we get along.
On a different note, the kids go back to school next week so we made an afternoon trip to Charlottetown today to buy school supplies and get new shoes. I think we're pretty much ready with the exception of taking Allison to pick out her clothes. Alex is low maintenance so it was easy to shop with him. I'm sure Allison and I will need a full afternoon at the mall to do her shopping. Suits me just fine - I love to look around lol. Maybe if there's time on Thursday we'll stop by H&M in Moncton and look for some sales. There's a store right next to it that Allison likes as well but I can't remember the name of it.
Anyhow I better wrap this up and start getting ready for bed. Thanks for reading.
