Quick blog post before bed. It's been a rough week coming down from the rush of the wedding last weekend and the poor kids being sick. We had Jonathan up to the ER Monday evening because he spiked a fever of 102.6 that wouldn't go down after taking tylenol. The ER doctor thought he might have an ear infection so he prescribed moxicillin. The next day Jonathan broke out in a rash all over his body but seemed fine otherwise. No breathing issues or fussiness. I contacted 811 and the pharmacy to make sure it wasn't an allergic reaction to the medication. They told us to keep an eye on the rash but so long as there was no trouble with breathing the rash could be a result of the fever. Yesterday I got to work and daycare called around 11 to say poor Jonathan was throwing up so I left right away to go get him. Picked him up and the poor little guy threw up in the van. Took him back up to the ER where we waited for 4.5 hours to see a doctor. It was a long wait but someone came in by ambulance so wait times are to be expected. Long story short the second doctor said Jonathan's ear was looking fine and that we could stop the medication but that whatever he has is viral and will just need to run it's course. Now Roy and Allison don't feel well. :( Allison was camping with some friends down at Somers last night and called to come home at around 2:30 this morning. Roy's been battling a fever and chills. Whatever virus this is needs to leave the house quickly!
My body is craving sugar today and I know it's because I'm tired. I got some groceries this evening and saw Skinny Cow - Milk Chocolate Dreamy Clusters on sale for 99 cents so I picked up 2 little bags. They hit the spot and were super yummy! It's not something I would eat all the time but it was enough to satisfy the sweet craving I had and for 99 cents it was worth it. You only get 4 or 5 clusters in a bag so don't go thinking you'll feel stuffed from eating them. I actually ate both bags but had the calories for them. Also, each bag is 10 grams of sugar so need to be careful with that as well.
Anyhow that's it for now. Just a short post. Everyone else is asleep so I'm going to get some rest too. Goodnight!
