Thanks to my friend Mario for sharing this tip he found online with me. Perhaps I should have known about it, but I didn't. I'm blogging about it in case my readers can learn something just like I did!
Did you know you can regrow you green onions at home using nothing more than a glass of water? I didn't think it would work but I decided to put it to the test. Last weekend I bought some green onions to make a spaghetti sauce. When I was done with the onions, I tossed the bulbs (still holding some of their greenery) into a glass of water. A week later and voila - the onions are regrowing themselves. How cool is that? Talk about recycling your food. I love it! :)
